Library Thing 10
The lesson on Library thing looks like a lot of fun. Reading about all the information you can find caught my attention. I have found with a growing age group that is in need to catalog information and a need of others to find books on repeat topics. Many have forgotten the books they have read and what a way to keep track and get more. This seems like a quick and easy way to do both.

Lesson 9 Wikis
Wikis would work well when tying to plan all types of activities from school projects to family get together. The idea of sharing thoughts and having other interact could be wonderful in library work as well as family projects. With children all around the world I can think of many ways to implement this program.
Lession 8 Tagging
I wish I had learned of Tagging and bookmarking a long item ago. The Internet has always frustrated me with unending information no real path to finding and organizing the information. When helping patrons in library we can now use tags and bookmarks, not only finding information but keep track of where, retrieve it and find more on a particular subject.
Lesson 7 Social networking
Face book appeals to lots of different age groups. I was very interested in who has accounts and what they were willing to share. I also found it interesting that my two face book using children refused to add me as a friend, somethings I guess just aren't for mothers. I must admit that I am still at a loss as to how face book can add to the library. Library workers need to know its uses and what the kids are doing but I probably will never use it as a social avenue.
